Traits

Death Throws. When a baaz dies, it immediately turns to stone. If the baaz was killed in combat and the killer dealt the final blow with a piercing or slashing weapon, that opponent must succeed on a DC 10 Dexterity saving throw or the weapon that hit the baaz is stuck fast in its stony corpse and can't be removed.

The baaz corpse remains petrified for 1d4 minutes before it crumbles to dust, freeing any stuck item. Items that were in the baaz's possession are not affected by its turning to stone.

Disease Immunity. Draconians are immune to all diseases.

Draconic Heritage. Draconians cannot be put to sleep by magic.

Glide. While unable to fly, Baaz can use their wings to glide, negating any falling damage from any height. They can travel horizontally up to four times the vertical distance they descend.

Inspired by Dragons. Draconians were created to serve alongside evil true dragons. When they fight alongside them, their morale and zealousness allow them to fight with greater ferocity than normal. When under the command of a true dragon, draconians get Advantage on all attack rolls and saving throws.

Low Metabolism. Draconians can survive on meager and sparse nourishment. They require only one-tenth of the food and water it takes to sustain a human.

Magic Resistance. Draconians have Advantage on saving throws against spells and  magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack. The baaz makes two attacks: either two claw attacks (if the baaz is not wearing a shield or wielding a weapon) or a longsword attack and a bite attack.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 2) slashing damage.

Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 2) slashing damage.

Description

Draconians are a race of dragon humanoids, also called dragonmen because they walk upright and are human-sized. Draconians have scaly bodies like a dragon's, a snout and short stubby tail.

Created in order to fill the ranks of the dragonarmies of the Dark Queen Takhisis, the generals of the dragonarmies generally used draconians as shock troops. They are not natural creatures of Krynn. They were created from the eggs of metallic dragons using dark magic called the corruption ritual. These rituals were carried out by Dracart, a wizard of the Black Robes, WyrIlish, a priest of Takhisis, and Harkiel, a vile and dark-hearted red dragon.

One egg yielded dozens of young draconians. depending on the color of the dragon egg the draconian can be one of 5 types: Aurak, Baaz, Bozak, Kapak and Sivak.

Baaz were formed from brass dragon eggs and are the most numerous variant of draconian.  They are weak in the mind and have a tendency for participating in disreputable activities such as drinking and fighting.
