Traits

Astral Familiar. The cat can be summoned by the find familiar spell. However, the spell must be cast as if it were a 3rd level spell.

Keen Smell. The cat has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Incorporeal Movement. The cat can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It takes 5 (1d10) force damage if it ends its turn inside an object.

Nine Lives. If the cat is reduced to 0 hit points, it magically teleports to a random location and regains 1 hit point. After the cat has used this trait nine times, if it is reduced to 0 hit points, it dies and cannot be resurrected by any means.

Actions

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4+3) slashing damage.

Eye Ray. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d10+3) psychic damage.

Reveal Dismal Fate(4/Day). The cat attempts to reveal the future of a creature it can see within 100 feet of it. If the creature has an intelligence level of 3 or higher it must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or suffer disadvantage on attack rolls, saving throws, and ability and skill checks for 1 hour. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the cat's Reveal Dismal Fate for the next 24 hours.

Reveal Fortunate Future (Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). The cat reveals the future of a willing creature it can see within 100 feet of it. If the creature has an intelligence level of 3 or higher it gains advantage on attack rolls, saving throws, and ability and skill checks for 1 hour.

Spellcasting. The cat cast one of the following spells, requiring no material or verbal components and using Charism as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 12):

At will: guidance, true strike

3/day: detect magicidentify

2/day: clairvoyance

1/week: divination

Bonus Actions

Teleport. The cat magically teleports, along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying, up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see.

Description

Astral cats are creatures native to the realms beyond the stars. These creatures are rumoured to have existed since the beginning of time, imbued with the magic of these distant realms and able to peer into the future.

Prophesiers. Astral Cats are known for their ability to peer into the future, using a magically imbued third eye to both see with truesight and to gaze into the future of other creatures. This magical eye is also thought to be the centre of the cats' magical power, affording them with the debilitating ray of power and various divination abilities.

Signs of Good Fortune and Bad Omens. Many cultures revere astral cats as beings of great wisdom and power. Many in desert regions and places far removed from the realm beyond the stars worship astral cats or hold them in high regard as beings connected to destiny, death, rebirth, and enlightenment.

Powerful Companions. Some powerful mages are able to summon astral cats to serve as familiars, relying on the various abilities of the cat to grant them and their allies boons, to gaze into the immediate future, or to thwart their enemies. Many consider these cats to be among the greatest of familiars, and the cats are among the most resilient, magically coming back to life time and time again.
