Traits

Legendary Resistance (2/day). If bazduk fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

Draconic Ascendence (2nd phase). When he's reduced to under half health, toxic vines erupt from his body, and he is blessed with a facsimile of the essence of his blood father. He regains 50 HP, and gains these benefits until he is killed:

  • He gains an aura of draconic miasma. Any creature that starts their turn within 5 ft. of him take 1d4 poison damage.
  • He gains access to attacks and actions marker 2nd phase.

  • The vines hunger. He takes 1d8 of damage at the end of his turn from the vines grasping at his body, eating him alive.
  • He gains vulnerability to fire damage.
Actions

Grasping infection (2nd phase). Bazduk expels a bloodsoaked barrage of vines from his masked face. In a 30 ft. line all creatures must make a DC 16 DEX save or take 2d10 Slashing damage, or half as much on a success.

Topaz Blade. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 11 (1d8 + 4) Bludgeoning and 8 (1d6 + 4) Fire damage.

Longbow (Loses this in 2nd phase). Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 60 ft., 1 target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) Piercing damage.

Reactions

Dragon-Hand Riposte. As a reaction to being hit by an attack, he can block the attack with his Sword, adding a +2 to his AC. If this causes the attack to miss, then Bazduk retaliates with a Topaz Blade attack at advantage. If this hits it will move the hit creature 10 ft. away, as well as inflicting the creature with the stunned condition.

Legendary Actions

Bazduk can take 2 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Bazduk regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.

Dragon Claw Bash (Costs 1 Action). Bazduk plants his sword in the ground as he gives a strong swipe with his abomination of a limb. Creatures with 5 ft of him must make a DC 18 Dex save or take 1d8 Slashing damage and 1d4 Poison damage.

Blessed rays of Topaz (Costs 1 Action, Multiple uses). Bazduk raises his sword above his head and swings it, letting loose a glorious wave of boorish topaz light. This requires you to use the legendary actions in this order to execute:

  • Part 1: He holds the sword aloft, charging for the attack.
  • Part 2: If he used his last legendary action to use Blessed rays of Topaz, and hasn't used any attacked since then, he can use Blessed rays of Topaz to execute the full attack. When used, he swings the golden sword, letting a widespread beam of cruel radiance fly. All creatures within a 60 ft. cone beginning on Bazduk must succeed on a DC 19 CON save or take 5d10 radiant damage.
