Description
Beorns resemble a hybrid of a large brown bear and a stag; large antlers sitting atop the head and front torso of a bear combined with the hind legs of a large stag. Found in the deep wooded areas of the Fey Wilds, Beorns mainly live in small family groups ruled over by a matriarch, usually the oldest and powerful female. In the past, Beorns would be hunted by Fey warriors looking to prove their mettle, however this practice has mostly died out, the chance of serious injury and death too likely for most to consider attempting.
Fully grown Beorns tower over most creatures of the forest, easily reaching 18ft in length from nose to tail. Cubs and adolescent Beorns are called Beornlings, and are usually the size of a fully grown adult brown bear, with smaller underdeveloped antlers. With massive claws, wickedly sharp teeth and the branching antlers atop their heads, Beorns have few natural predators in the Fey Wilds.
