Traits

Innate Spellcasting. The bandersnatch's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 13). The bandersnatch can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: darkness, invisibility

1/day each: charm person, telekinesis, gaseous form, sleep

Magic Weapons. The bandersnatch's weapon attacks are magical.

Regeneration. The bandersnatch regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn if it has at least 1 hit point.

Actions

Multiattack. The bandersnatch makes two attacks, either with its claws or its tongue. It can replace one of these attacks with a bite attack.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 5) slashing damage.

Bite. (Bandersnatch form only.)  Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (5d6 + 5) piercing damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 15) if it is a Large or smaller creature. Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the bandersnatch can't use its bite attack or tongue attack on another target.

Tongue. (Bandersnatch form only.)  Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (3d6) necrotic damage, and the target must make a DC 15 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target is pulled to a space within 5 feet of the bandersnatch, which can use a bonus action to make a bite attack against the target.

Swallow. (Bandersnatch form only.) The bandersnatch makes a bite attack against a Medium or smaller creature it is grappling. If the attack hits, the target is swallowed, and the grapple ends. The swallowed creature is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the bandersnatch and it takes 10 (3d6) necrotic damage at the start of each of the bandersnatch's turns. A creature reduced to 0 hit points in this way stops taking necrotic damage and becomes stable. The bandersnatch can have only one target swallowed at a time. While the bandersnatch isn't incapacitated, it can regurgitate the creature at any time (no action required) in a space within 5 feet of it. The creature exits prone. If the bandersnatch dies, it likewise regurgitates a swallowed creature.

Change Shape. The bandersnatch magically polymorphs into a Small or Medium humanoid, into a Large giant, or back into its true form. Other than its size, its statistics are the same in each form. If the bandersnatch dies, it reverts to its true form.

Description

“Beware the Bandersnatch, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
      The frumious Bandersnatch!”

Sometimes a Banderhobb wills itself into existence. This creature is called a Bandersnatch. They hunt and snatch children, and take them away to mysterious places for their own inscrutable needs. They will likely take a particular interest in a single person and use their abilities to stalk them, waiting to strike.
A Bandersnatch speaks in riddles and likes to sing in rhymes. They take joy in confusing their victims and frightening them. This causes them to take a perverse joy in speaking: While they finally strike, a Banderhobb will communicate in a friendly manner that contradicts their vile intentions.

"Beware! I'm going to follow you everywhere.
I crawl through the ceiling and walls and fall on, bad little girls like you."
