Traits

Blood Scent. The bearsharktopus has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and (Investigation) checks that rely on smell when it comes to finding injured targets underwater.

Blood Frenzy. The bearsharktopus has advantage on melee attack rolls against any creature that doesn't have all its hit points.

Amphibious. The bearsharktopus can breathe air and salt water.

Water Dependency. If the bearsharktopus fails to immerse itself in water for at least 1 hour during a day, it will suffer one level of exhaustion at the end of that day. It can only recover from this exhaustion through an external source of magic or by immersing itself in water for at least 1 hour.

Actions

Multiattack. The bearsharktopus makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its tentacles. It's tentacles cannot be used to grapple as part of the multiattack.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage.

Tentacles. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 10). Until this grapple ends, the octopus can't use its tentacles on another target. The bearsharktopus cannot use it's tentacles to grapple if they are used as part of it's multiattack option.

Ink Cloud (Recharge 5–6). A 10-foot-radius cloud of ink extends all around the bearsharktopus if it is underwater. The area is heavily obscured for 1 minute, although a significant current can disperse the ink. After releasing the ink, the bearsharktopus can use the Dash action as a bonus action.

Necrotic Ink Breath (Recharge 5–6): The bearsharktopus spews ink in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a (DC 13) Dexterity saving throw, taking 12 (3d6) necrotic damage on a failed save and are blinded until the end of their next turn, or maintain their sight and receive half as much damage on a successful one. This attack can only be used while it is out of an underwater environment.

Description

"Hey, I heard people like bears, sharks and octopus, so I mashed them together to create the ultimate life form! Behold, the bearsharktopus! Susan, lower the curtain. NO, SUSAN USE THE RELEASE CORD! STAY AT LEAST FIFTEEN FEET AWAY FROM THE CAGE! AAAAAHHHHHH! SUSAN?! SUSAN! SUUUSSSSAAANN!!

...Great, Now I need to hire a new lab assistant..."

- Dr. Morbius Meme, world renowned entrepreneur, wizard, and mad scientist.

The bearsharktopus is chimera-like monstrosity created by one self proclaimed genius to impress fellow wizards and other businessmen of the magical community. The idea was to create a sort of bio-weapon that would be used to assault enemy ships during times of war, but, of course, it escaped and managed to survive in the wild. It now is a source of nightmares for the sea faring community and anyone thinking of lounging on a beach.

It has a deceptively decent level of cruel intelligence, but is driven mad by it's inexhaustible hunger attempting to kill and eat anything alive it comes across.
