Traits

Champion's Rage (Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). If Akra would be reduced to 0 hit points, his current hit point total instead resets to 68 hit points, and he gains the following effects for 1 minute:

- Akra gains advantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws using Strength.
- Akra gains a +2 bonus to all his damage rolls.
- Akra gains resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
- Attack rolls made against Akra have advantage if he made an attack on his last turn.

Award the party an additional 1,100 XP (2,200 XP total) for defeating Akra after his Champion's Rage activates.

Poor Depth Perception. Akra has disadvantage on any attack roll against a target more than 30 feet away.

Actions

Multiattack. Akra makes two slam attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d4 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Thrash. One medium or smaller creature Akra is grappling must make a DC 14 Strength saving throw or take 26 (4d12) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't knocked prone.

Bonus Actions

Grab. When Akra hits a creature with a slam attack, he can attempt to grapple it. If he succeeds, until the grapple ends, the creature takes 5 (2d4) bludgeoning damage at the start of each of his turns.

Description

Akra is the half-cyclops "boxing" champion of the Bottle & Jug tavern in Sigil. A native of the Beastlands, he weighs 400 pounds, wears a loincloth made of rhinoceros hide, and has three arms, the third (a nonfunctional limb) protruding from his chest. Between bouts, he stays in a straw-covered chamber with a pile of goat bones in one corner and a water trough in another until the time comes for him to rip the next challenger to shreds.
