Legendary Resistance (2/Day). If Boitatá fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead. When all uses of its Legendary Resistance have been expended, it loses its Fiery Gaze until it takes a long rest.
Fiery Gaze. This creature's eyes are lit with the brightest of flames, alluring unwarned victims to look into them. If a creature starts its turn within 30 feet of Boitatá and can see its eyes, the creature is forced to make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature becomes blinded for 1 minute.
Multiattack. Boitatá makes one Fang Lunge attack, and one Tail Slam attack or uses the Fire Breath action once.
Fang Lunge. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) piercing damage + 7 (1d12) fire damage. On a hit, Boitatá can choose to forgo the damage and grapple the target instead (Escape DC 15). The grappled creature takes 11 (2d8+2) bludgeoning damage at the start of each of its turns while grappled. Only one creature can be grappled at the same time.
Tail Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d8 + 5) bludgeoning damage + 7 (1d12) fire damage.
Fire breath (Recharge 1d6+2 turns). Boitatá exhales fire in a 60-foot cone. Each creature caught in the area must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw, taking 22 (5d8) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
Boitatá can take 2 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Boitatá regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Move (Costs 1 Action). Boitatá moves up to half its speed.
Tail Slam (Costs 1 Action). Boitatá makes a Tail Slam attack.
Fang Lunge (Costs 2 Actions). Boitatá makes a Fang Lunge attack.
Description
Boitatá is a creature originating from the hottest parts of the fire realm. Its body exists of pure flame in the fire realm but takes on a more physical form when in the mortal realm making it susceptible to normal damage types, although still resistant. Its eyes are almost as pure as the fire creation essence itself and are able to blind any creature that looks straight at them. Boitatá seldom make their way to the mortal realm because of the god's seal.
