Channel the Living Fire The House Guard channels the living fire of the Ashen Elves. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (+5 to hit with spell attacks). The Nomad Warrior has following spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): produce flame.
Fey Ancestry. The House Guard has advantage on saving throws they make to avoid or end the charmed condition on themself.
Trance. The House Guard doesn’t need to sleep, and magic can’t put them to sleep. They can finish a long rest in 4 hours if those hours are spent in a trancelike meditation in which they remain conscious.
Second Wind. Once per short rest, the House-Guard can use a bonus action to regain 1d10 + 1 HP.
Polearm Master. When an enemy moves within five feet of the House Guard while they are wielding their spear, they provoke an opportunity attack.
Spear Melee Attack. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 1 (1d6 + 3) [piercing] damage.
Scimitar Melee Attack. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 1 (1d6 + 3) [slashing] damage.
Spear Ranged Attack. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 20/60 ft., 1 target. Hit: 1 (1d6 + 3) [piercing] damage. (after using this attack, the House-Guard must either retrieve the spear from the target or switch to their scimitar.)
Light Crossbow Ranged Attack. Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, range 80/320 ft., 1 target. Hit: 1 (1d8 + 1) [piercing] damage.
Description
In the Northern Lowlands of the Ashen Elves' Homeland, the fractured and divided Hill-Clans give way to the less-fractured, yet still divided Great-Houses. The wars between the different cities where the Houses hold sway are less common, yet greater in magnitude when they do occur. For this reason, each Great-House maintains a standing army of House-Guards to monitor and secure their lands in times of peace and to fight their battles in times of war. These House Guards have fewer opportunities to test their prowess on the field of battle when compared to the Raiders of the Hill-Clans, but that they lack in experience they make up for in training and equipment as it is customary for the Great Houses to provide them with better gear in preparation for the inevitable day when they are called to arms.
