Actions

Multiattack. The Yule Cat can use its Frightful Presence. It then makes two claw attacks.

Action Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) slashing damage.

Action Frostbite Breath (Recharge 5-6). The Yule Cat exhales a cone of frigid air in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw, taking 14 (4d6) cold damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Action Frightful Presence. Each creature within 30 feet of the Yule Cat and aware of it must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the Yule Cat's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.

Description

The Yule Cat is a large, fearsome feline with thick fur that can withstand the coldest of winter temperatures. It is said to prowl the snowy forests and tundras during the winter months, preying on the unwary. Those who do not receive new clothing before the winter solstice are said to be at risk of being hunted and devoured by the Yule Cat. Its frostbite breath and Frightful Presence make it a formidable opponent, and its snow camouflage allows it to blend in with its snowy surroundings and ambush its prey.
