BiteMelee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage.

Cuteness. The Armadeggo widens its eyes to maximum cuteness and looks adorably at a creature. The target must make a DC 10 Wisdom save or be charmed by the Armadeggo. Description

This is adapted from The Educational DM's post on homebrewery.naturalcrit.com.

The Armadevourer looks like a small dragon egg, 1.5 feet tall and 50 lb. Its purpose is to be mistaken for one. Interestingly, it is related to the armadillo and closely resembles one when not in egg form.

Upon inspection, a DC 10 Intelligence (Nature) or Intelligence (Arcana) check reveals it to be a Dragon Egg. A DC 15 check reveals it to be a dragon egg, but none like the characters have ever seen before. DC 20 reveals it to be like a Dragon Egg, but there is something off about it. DC 25 reveals the nature of the creature. An Investigation check can be made, with the same results except that it is not revealed that it might be the egg of a dragon.

When taken by an adventuring party, the creature will stay looking like an egg until it is dark, it is quiet, and there has been no movement around it for two hours. It will then stealthily sneak around and try and find something to eat. It can eat up to the equivalent of 5 days of rations. After such a meal, it can last up to 5 days without food. It will then return stealthily to its original position and pretend to be a dragon egg again and not emerge for at least two more days. If it manages to feed successfully four times, on the fifth time, it will feed and then leave. There is a 5% chance that it will leave a clutch of 4 (1d4 + 2) eggs.

If it is unable to eat after three days, it will try and sneak away from the group at the first opportunity. If something applies enough pressure to it (Strength Check DC 20), then it will unravel and run as fast as it can away, also trying to use any nooks and crannies to hide in. It will not attack unless cornered.
