Action Surge (Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). The battle master can take an extra action on its turn.
Brute. A weapon deals one extra die of its damage when the battle master hits with it (included in the attack).
Indomitable (3/Day). The battle master can reroll a saving throw it fails. It must use the new roll
Multiattack. The battle master makes four Longsword or Longbow attacks. If an attack hits, the battle master can cause it to create an additional effect of its choice (each effect can be used only once per Multiattack):
Trip. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Shove. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or be pushed up to 15 feet away from the battle master.
Menace. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of the battle master until the end of the battle master's next turn.
Disarm. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or drop one item it is holding of the battle master's choice.
Goad. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or have disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures other than the battle master until the end of the battle master's next turn.
Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) slashing damage, or 16 (2d10 + 5) slashing damage if used with two hands.
Longbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d8 + 2) piercing damage.
Rally (3/Day). The battle master or one creature of its choice that can hear the battle master gains 7 (1d12 + 1) temporary hit points.
Opportunist. If a creature moves within 5 feet of the battle master or misses it with a melee weapon attack, the battle master can make one Longsword attack against that creature.
Parry. The battle master adds 4 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, the battle master must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.
Description
The Battle Master employs martial techniques passed down through generations. To a Battle Master, combat is an academic field, sometimes including subjects beyond battle such as weaponsmithing and calligraphy. Not every fighter absorbs the lessons of history, theory, and artistry that are reflected in the Battle Master, but those who do are well-rounded fighters of great skill and knowledge.
