Automaton Health. Since the Automaton is a special type of construct, they regain 1 hit point when they are targeted by the mending spell.
Automaton Nature. The Automaton's body is made of metal, and they have no organs within. This nature grants them the following benefits:
• They have advantage on saving throws against disease and being poisoned, their body may be endurant against disease and poison, but they still function with blood.
• They don’t need to eat, drink, or breathe.
• They don’t need to sleep, and magic can’t put them to sleep. You can finish a long rest in 4 hours if you spend those hours in an inactive state.
Fueled by Blood. Although they do not need to eat or drink, their body requires a certain amount of blood to function effectively. Once per week, they have to refill the blood tanks within their body with an amount of blood worth 5 KF for each level they have. Otherwise, they starve.
Multiattack. The automaton makes 2 attacks.
Hydrolic Blade. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage
Shove. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) slashing damage. If the target is Medium or smaller they must also make a Strength saving throw at DC 16 or be knocked back 10 feet and land prone.
Defender. The automaton may take the Dodge action as a bonus action a number of times equal to their proficiency bonus (3) this refreshes on a short or long rest.
Protection. When a creature you can see Attacks a target other than you that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your Reaction to impose disadvantage on the Attack roll. You must be Wielding a Shield.
Description
From the Bloodpunk playtest document, Bloodwork automatons are genderless, their bodies may resemble a woman’s, or a man’s; both or neither. Their bodies are made of strong metals, and decorated with various designs, fitting the taste of their creators.
