Forms. Aya has five forms that she can seamlessly switch between unless her powers are being suppressed. Her Air Form, Human Form, Feathered Form, Winged Form and Bird Form. Her abilities and ways of movement depend on which form she is currently in. If an ability is specific to a form, it is noted in brackets. Her Winged and Bird Form are considered identical, except for the Bird Form being a Large creature, as a result, her Bird Form is included in any abilities that are attributed to her Winged Form.

Air Form. Aya can take the form of wind. In this form, she is invisible, can move through a hostile creature’s space without provoking opportunity attacks and can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing. While in this state, the spirit can see and sense everything normally but cannot attack or interact with objects in any other way than a regular gust of wind could.

Magic Resistance. Aya has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Innate Spellcasting. Aya’s innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 22, +14 to hit with spell attacks). She can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: pass without trace, water breathing, water walk, control water, control weather

1/day each: control winds, plane shift (self only), whirlwind

Flyby (Winged Form). Aya doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks when she flies out of an enemy’s reach.

Actions

Claws (Feathered & Winged). Melee Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 23 (4d6+9) magical slashing damage.

Lightning Bolt. Ranged Spell Attack: +14 to hit, range 600 ft., one target. Hit: 24 (7d6) lightning damage.

Ice Shards (Recharge 6; Winged). All creatures within a 20-foot-radius, 40-foot-high cylinder centered on a point below Aya must each make a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw, taking 9 (2d8) piercing damage and 21 (6d6) cold damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The ice turns the area into difficult terrain until the end of Aya's next turn.

Bonus Actions

Shift. As a bonus action, Aya can shift between her forms.

Legendary Actions

Aya can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The spirit regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.

Move. Aya moves up to her speed.

Screaming Gale (Costs 2 Actions; Feathered). Aya targets one creature within 5 feet of her and unleashes a blast of thunder and wind on it. If there are objects such as windows or pots (provided they aren't worn or carried) in the general area, they shatter. The target must make a DC 22 Strength saving throw, taking 22 (4d10) thunder damage on a failed save and be flung up to 60 feet in a direction away from the impact. If the target succeeds, it only takes half damage and isn't thrown. If a thrown target collides with an immovable object, such as a wall or floor, the target takes 3 (1d6) bludgeoning damage for every 10 feet it was thrown before impact. If the target would collide with another creature instead, that other creature must succeed on a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw or take the same damage and be knocked prone.

Storm of Vengeance (Costs 3 Actions; only 1/day; Winged). Aya casts the spell storm of vengeance, but only if she is under open sky.

Description

Aya is the spirit of storms, also widely known as the thunder bird. She is mostly in charge of the Feywild and can travel freely through all its domains, but occasionally she also visits the Prime Material Plane.

Aya is one of the most powerful spirits known, but prefers not to engage in large fights, because the destructive nature of her powers pose a great risk of collateral damage.

She is a whimsical spirit, always looking for interesting and fun things to take part in, but she also honors her duty above all else, which is to create storms and make sure they don't get out of control. If she doesn't create those storms, the Feywild's atmosphere gets charged with too much magical energy until it eventually releases on its own, in incredibly volatile and violent magical storms.
