Actions

Multiattack. The giant makes three greatsword attacks.

Greatsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 28 (6d6 + 9) slashing damage.

Flaming Stone. Ranged Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, range 60/240 ft., one target. Hit: 32 (4d10 + 9) bludgeoning damage and (1d10) fire damage.

Flame Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 28 (6d6 + 9) fire damage.

Reactions

Hellish Rebuke. Volkhan parries your attack and snaps his enormous fingers, and you are momentarily surrounded by hellish flames. The attacker must make a Dexterity saving throw, DC18. It takes 2d10 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Counterspell. Volkhan attempts to interrupt a target in the process of casting a spell. If the creature is casting a spell of 3rd level or lower, its spell fails and has no effect. If it is casting a spell of 4th level or higher, make an ability check using your spellcasting ability. The DC equals 10 + the spell’s level. On a success, the creature’s spell fails and has no effect. Volkahn must be within 60 ft. of the spellcaster.

Legendary Actions

Volkhan has 4 legendary actions.

Flare. Volkhan releases a burst of flames around him in a 30ft radius. Anyone caught in the flames must make a DC15 DEX save or take 3d10+10 damage.

Healing Blaze. Volkhan bathes a wound in one of the torches in his lair. The wound seems to cauterize and then heal for 2d10+5 HP.

Scalding Metal. Volkhan heats up the metal within a 10ft radius of him. Those holding metal objects or wearing metal armor must make a DC15 Con Save to hold onto their equipment, and to take half damage of 3d10.

Description

With dark skin and flaming red hair, Volkahn is a legend among Fire Giants. He dwells in the volcanoes, lava flows, and rocky mountains, and is known for his ability to burn, plunder, and destroy. He leads a small tribe of Fire Giants in the Alkazar Mountains to the North of the Orcish Cantons. 

Lair and Lair Actions

Magically Sealed Entrance. After entering his lair, Volkhan seals the entrance with a warding bond, locking his enemies in the room with him. It will take an Arcana roll of DC25 to break the bond, and a STR roll of DC16 to reopen the enormous doors. Opening the doors will take two actions in general.

Summon Fire Elementals. After being dropped to half his HP, Volkhan will snap his fingers and two Fire Elementals will appear within 30 ft. of him.

Conquerer's Rage. After being dropped to 1/10th of his HP, Volkhan will resist all physical damage.
