Swift Ensnarement: The Supersede does not suffer from decreased speed when it is grappling a creature.
Multiattack. The Barbed Supersede can make one melee attack and one other attack.
Impale. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 24 (4d8 + 6) piercing damage and 10 (3d6) poison damage. The target must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be restrained by the blade and take 10 (2d6) poison damage at the start of their turn. The Barbed Supersede can then only use slam attacks until it re-grows it's sword as a bonus action, freeing the target. The target, or an ally of the target can use an action to remove the blade, freeing themselves.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage, 10 (3d6) piercing damage and 10 (3d6) poison damage.
Creeping Sword. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 25 (4d8 +7) slashing damage and 10 (3d6) poison damage.
Vines. Ranged Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, range 40 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d6 + 6) bludgeoning damage. If the target is medium or smaller, it is pulled 10 ft. and is grappled (escape DC 15) if the Barbed Supersede is not already grappling a creature. Until this grapple ends, the target is pulled 10 ft. towards the vine terror at the start of each of it's turns.
Re-Growth. If the Barbed Supersede's sword is lost or destroyed, it can grow it back to use for it's next turn.
Thorny brush. If a creature steps within 5 feet of the Supersede, that creature must make a DEX saving throw (DC 15) or take 1d6 piercing damage.
