Magic Resistance. The Cait Sidhe has advantage on saving throws against spell and other magical effects.
Keen Smell. The Cait Sidhe has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Glamour. While the Cait Sidhe remains on all fours, it is indistinguishable from a large domestic cat, and anything it says will be perceived as cat noises. This effect ends when the Cait Sidhe stands on its hind legs. A creature immune to being charmed or one that can see through illusions is not affected by the Glamour. If a creature witnesses the Cait Sidhe drop to all fours, it must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw, or then perceive the Cait Sidhe as a normal cat. In addition, any creature who fails this save will also forget that the Cait Sidhe is not a normal cat, until they witness the Cait Sidhe stand on two legs again, at which point they will remember.
Claws. Melee weapon attack, +4 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 3 (1+2) slashing damage.
Invisibility. The Cait Sidhe magically turns invisible until it attacks or its concentration ends. Anything the Cait Sidhe is wearing or carrying is also invisible as long as it remains in contact with the Cait Sidhe.
Blink Defense (recharge 5-6). When the Cait Sidhe is hit with an attack by a creature that it can see, it can use its reaction to gain a +5 bonus to its AC against that attack. If this causes the attack to miss, it can then teleport up to 20 feet to an unoccupied space it can see.
Description
The Cait SIdhe, or Fairy Cat, appears as a large black cat with yellow eyes and a white diamond of fur decorating its chest. They are most well known for playing tricks on unsuspecting common folk who mistake them for normal cats, but more insidious rumors speak of Cait Sidhe laying curses on those who harm cats, and stealing the souls of the dead before they can depart for the afterlife.
Variant: Cait Sidhe Familiar. Spellcasters interested in unusual familiars may find that Cait Sidhe are willing to serve someone who has magical abilities, especially someone with a mischievous or chaotic nature. Like cats, Cait Sidhe are mostly independent, but they might form a bond with someone who enjoys their tricks, or who is kind to cats. A Cait Sidhe acting as a familiar has the following additional trait:
Familiar. The Cait Sidhe can serve another creature as a familiar, forming a telepathic bond with a willing companion. while the two are bonded, the companion can sense what the Cait Sidhe senses as long as they are within 1 mile of each other. In addition, the Cait Sidhe can designate its companion, and as many other creatures as it pleases, to be immune to its Glamour trait. At any time, and for any reason, the Cait Sidhe can end its service as a familiar, ending the telepathic bond.
