Traits

Special Equipment. Warduke wears a dread helm, half plate, +3 , shield, +3 and wields a flame tongue longsword

Slasher: Critical Hit (Special) When Warduke scores a critical hit that deals slashing damage to a creature, he grievously wounds it. Until the start of his next turn, the target has disadvantage on all attack rolls.
Slasher: Reduce Speed (Special) Once per turn when he hits a creature with an attack that deals slashing damage, Warduke can reduce the speed of the target by 10 ft., until the start of his next turn.
Actions

Multiattack. Warduke makes four Flame Tongue or Dagger attacks.

Nightwind (Flame Tongue, Bane of Humanoids.) Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 9) slashing damage, or 9 (1d10 + 9) slashing damage when used with two hands, plus 7 (2d6) fire damage if the weapon is aflame. 9 (3d6) Force damage if the creature is humanoid.

Dagger. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d4 + 12) piercing damage.

Shield Bash. Melee Weapon attack: +8; reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 8 (1d4+8); bludgeoning damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it must succeed on a DC 18 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Maneuvers: Commander’s Strike When Warduke takes the Attack action on his turn, he can forgo and use a bonus action to direct an ally that can see or hear him to strike using its reaction, adding the superiority die to the damage roll.

Maneuvers: Feinting Attack Warduke can expend one superiority die and use a bonus action on his turn to add the total to the damage roll and to gain advantage on his next attack roll against a chosen creature within 5 ft. this turn.

Maneuvers: Grappling Strike Immediately after Warduke hits a creature with a melee attack on his turn, he can expend one superiority die and then try to grapple the target as a bonus action. Add the superiority die to Warduke's Strength (Athletics) check.

Bonus Actions

Flaming Blade. Warduke ignites or extinguishes his flame tongue longsword. While aflame, it sheds bright light in a 40-foot radius and dim light for an additional 40 feet.

Charger  Warduke dashes, costing a bonus action to make a melee weapon attack or shove a creature. If he moves at least 10 ft. in a straight line before using this bonus action, he either gains a +5 bonus to the damage roll (if he choses to make a melee attack and hits) or push the target up to 10 ft. away from him (if he chooses to shove and succeeds).
Shield Master Shove If Warduke takes the Attack action on his turn, he can use a bonus action to try to shove a creature within 5 ft. of him with his shield.

Second Wind, (2/day) (Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). Warduke regains 25 hit points.

Reactions
Maneuvers: Brace When a creature Warduke can see moves into the reach he has with the melee weapon he is wielding, he can use his reaction to expend one superiority die and make one attack against the creature, using that weapon. If the attack hits, add the superiority die to the weapon’s damage roll.

Maneuvers: Parry When another creature damages Warduke with a melee attack, he can use his reaction and expend one superiority die to reduce the damage by the number he rolls on the superiority die +2.

Maneuvers: Riposte When a creature misses Warduke with a melee attack, he can use his reaction and expend one superiority die to make a melee weapon attack against it (add the superiority die to the attack’s damage roll on hit).

Sentinel Attack When a creature within 5 ft. of Warduke makes an attack against a target other than him, he can use his reaction to make a melee weapon attack against the attacking creature

Description

Warduke’s services as a remorseless killer-for-hire can be easily bought. He isn’t terribly bright, which is why he leaves the plotting and scheming to others.

What does Warduke look like under his dread helm? No one knows. He never removes his helmet to reveal his face to others, but the visage beneath is that of a grim, hideously scarred gladiator.

Alignment. Chaotic evil.

Personality Trait. “I speak with the flames and razor-sharp edges of my sword. They beat words to hell.”

Ideal. “I expect to be paid well for my handiwork.”

Bond. “The Horned Legion is a convenient arrangement—until something better comes along.”

Flaw. “I don’t have a single friend I can count on.”

Combat Notes

Warduke likes to hit things with his sword; it’s as simple as that.
