Keen Senses. The wyvern has advantage on perception checks.
Multiattack. The wyvern makes two bite attacks. While flying, it can use its claws in place of one other attack.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage plus 3 (1d6) fire damage.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) slashing damage.
Molten Breath (Recharge 6). The wyvern exhales a gout of silvery liquid which ignites in a line 30 feet long and 5 feet wide. Each creature in the area must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or suffer 18 (4d8) fire damage, or half as much on a save. On a failure creatures are coated in the flammable liquid and suffer 9 (2d8) fire damage at the start of their next turn.
Description
Ash wyverns are native to many volcanic regions, though they tend to die out if said volcanoes go dormant or extinct. They are roughly the same size as their standard cousins, though they lack their venomous stinger. They make up for it with heartier constitution, thicker scales, and a pernicious flaming breath attack.
The liquid they use for this breath attack is a prized alchemical component for bombs, potions of fire resistance, certain poisons, and other things. Unlike true dragons, their fire is completely nonmagical.
