Hold Breath. The Sludge Troll can hold its breath for 1 hour.
Lingering Odor. If a creature is successfully hit by any of the Sludge Troll's attacks the creature now reeks terribly and has disadvantage on any Charisma based checks for 1d4 days.
Regeneration. The Sludge Troll regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn. If the Sludge Troll takes acid or fire damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of the Sludge Troll's next turn. The Sludge Troll dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn't regenerate.
Sludge Layer. The Sludge Troll has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in mud, or murky water such as swamps, bogs, etc.
Stench. Any creature that starts its turn within 5 feet of the Sludge Troll must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned until the start of its next turn. On a successful saving throw, the creature is immune to the Sludge Troll's Stench for 24 hours.
Multiattack. The troll makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its fists.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage.
Fist. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.
Sludge Throw. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 50 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6+1) bludgeoning damage and the target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution save or become poisoned for 1 hour and incapacitated for 1 minute as they retch uncontrollably. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the incapacitated effect on itself on a success.
Description
The Sludge Troll's skin secretes a viscous brown mucus that covers its body. This mucus emits a foul odor that sickens any creature that comes near it. The Sludge Troll can be found in swamps and bogs, or polluted waters, where its stench is undiscernible from its surroundings. It prefers to wallow in mud or murky water while lying in wait to attack unsuspecting foes. It uses the putrid odor of its mucus as an offensive means to incapacitate its foes. Only acid and fire can arrest the regenerative properties of a troll’s flesh.
