  • Venomous Sting: melee weapon attack, +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Description

Appearance: The Behemoth Spider is a massive arachnid, measuring over 10 feet in length and standing nearly 7 feet tall. Its body is covered in thick black fur, and it has eight long, spindly legs that are covered in sharp, hooked claws. Its eyes are large and multifaceted, and its fangs are as long as a human's arm. The spider is hidden in the wooden rafters of the room, and it will only reveal itself when it is ready to attack.

Tactics: The Behemoth Spider is a powerful and deadly predator, and it will use its stealthy abilities to catch its prey off guard. It will often wait in the rafters until its prey is close, before dropping down and attacking with its bite and venomous sting. If the party is able to injure the Behemoth Spider, it will retreat back into the rafters and attempt to regain its strength before re-engaging in combat. It will always prioritize the nearest and weakest targets first, and will focus its attacks on any spellcasters or ranged attackers in the party.
