My Beloved…: Cannot be intimidated, persuaded, begged, or bartered with. Will never leave a mission unfinished.

Dancing Petal Fighting Style: Rosalia’s unique fighting style surpasses the limitations of even legendary masters. She could teach it to a capable pupil, given a year (student must have at least 18 levels in any combination of martial class, or be a warrior of at least CR 10.) Dancing Petal Fighting Style has the following features:

-Duelist: When wielding a one-handed melee weapon and with a free hand, gain +2 to damage rolls with it.

-Instinct: Gain 20ft of Blindsight.

-Parrying Riposte: Can use the Parrying Riposte reaction.

-Combo Finisher: If all possible multiattacks land in a turn, the final attack is always critical.

Legendary Reaction: May make up to three reactions per turn, instead of the usual one.

Armour of Shadows: While above half (120) hp, Rosalia is entirely obscured by plate armour. This armour is knocked off when dropping below half hp, and even if she heals back up above the threshold, remains off for the rest of the fight.

Once her armour is off, her AC drops to 18 (Studded Leather). Her movement speed increases to 60ft, and she gains the special feat Dancer's Grace. Additionally, the moment her eyes are revealed, any creature that can see the front of her must make a DC 16 Charisma save or be frightened of her.

-Dancer's Grace: When succeeding a dexterity save to take half damage, take no damage instead. In addition, move over Difficult Terrian as though it were normal.

Power of Will (8/Day): Choose one of the five following effects. Health must be below half. This does not take an action and can be done at any time, even on another creature's turn.

-Endure: On taking fatal damage, survive with 1hp.

-Surpass: If the next melee attack lands, damage is doubled.

-Unburden: Remove all conditions aside from unconscious.

-Recover: Heal 40 (10d8+5) hp.

-Overwhelm: Any one target with which eye contact can be made must make a DC20 Charisma save or else be frightened of Rosalia and take 11 (2d10) psychic damage. Eye contact is essential.

Soul Cutter: Rosalia's Slashing attacks ignore resistance and deal half damage on Immunity.

Actions

Multiattack: Rosalia makes six attacks with the Bloodied Thorn or any other attack just once.

Bloodied Thorn: Melee weapon attack: +13 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 11 (1d8+7) slashing damage.

Focused Strike: Melee weapon attack: Always hits, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 15 (2d8+7) slashing damage. This attack can cut through any magical barrier or construct, such as the walls of a Forcecage.

Blooming Thrust: Melee weapon attack: +13 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 11(1d8+7) piercing damage. Can be used after dashing. If it hits, the target is considered grappled until the weapon is pulled out of them.

Corpse Blossom: This attack can only be used on a target grappled by Rosalia as a result of Blooming Thrust. The target must make a DC20 Constitution saving throw, taking 47 (10d8+7) slashing damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful save. Additionally, on a failed save, any target with blood will take 1d12 damage due to bleeding every turn until it recieves healing.

Dancing Petal Dervish (Recharge 6 turns): All hostile creatures within 10ft must make a DC20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 55 (12d8+7) slashing damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful save. All sentient onlookers must make a DC16 Wisdom save or spend their turn staring mesmerized.

Reactions

Parrying Riposte: When targeted by a weapon attack, Rosalia may as a reaction make an attack with Bloodied Thorn. If it rolls higher than the attacker, their attack misses and deals no damage. If the attacker is within 5ft, Rosalia’s own attack hits instead.

Legendary Actions

Rosalia can take 3 legendary actions, choosing one of the following. Only one can be used at a time, only at the end of a creature’s turn. Rosalia regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.

Bloodied Thorn: Melee weapon attack: +13 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 11 (1d8+7) slashing damage.

Predict: If the next creature to move is an enemy, guess if they will make a melee weapon, ranged weapon, melee spell, ranged spell, or area attack, and keep this guess to yourself. If you guessed correctly, either they roll their attack with disadvantage or Rosalia rolls her saving throw with advantage.

Description

Once there was a man who carried the dreams of others within him. He rose like a shining star to stand against the twisting gears and clanking steel of an insurmountable Empire. His magic was unrivaled, his courage unmatched, his charisma unassailable.

At his side was a young woman, a hero in her own right, but very much his junior. He held the dreams of many, but he also held her heart.

With time, the dreams of others became a cage, and the hero sought escape, an escape which turned him to the path of destruction. Torn between her morality and her love, the Rose Knight Rosalia fell into darkness and was reborn as something merciless.

The Black Rose blossomed in the land of Shadows, its thorn as sharp as any other. Some day he would return to her. Some day they could travel far, far away and never look back at the cage of dreams.

Until that day, she would do whatever it took to keep the flowers blooming in her heart.

It's hard to tell if that which is under the armour is still human, if its heart still beats. Cold, uncaring, every movement unnaturally perfect, every mission fulfilled with inhuman efficiency. Where has the cheerful Rose Knight gone? Where is our hero when she's needed?

People still remember the Rose Knight. Her long blonde hair tied up in a messy ponytail. Her eyes like portals to the wild green, always crinkled in merriment. If you could but see how empty those eyes are now. Stripped of all humanity, save only an unbreakable, unshakeable determination to... What, exactly?
