Description
Antalagun is a Young Red Dragon who was separated from his brood and enslaved as a Circus attraction. He broke free of his chains with the help of an unknown group of Heroes and gained a different perspective on life, he would not be similar to his kin, instead he would change his nature and fight against his greedy instincts.
Antalagun flew to the desert mountains of Anaroch, there he made his lair in a simple cave near an abandoned Mystra temple. On a night of sandstorms, Antalagun was surprised by a group of clerics seeking shelter. Upon realizing that the cave was a dragon's lair, the clerics were alert to the imminent combat, but ended up finding only a young dragon willing to shelter them.
Antalagun let the clerics enjoy their humble home, the eldest of the clerics saw kindness and an unusual gift for Magic in Antalagun and asked if he would like to learn it. Antalagun wondered for hours if he should do it and when day broke and the clerics were leaving Antalagun approached them and accepted the offer.
During the weeks that passed, the 8 clerics of Mystra had taught Antalagun the principles of Mystra and how magic should serve and not destroy, as well as the ability to Read, Write and Speak in other languages.
Antalagun has proven to be an example to follow and a symbol that its nature can be reversed. The clerics made the lair a great library for the young dragon and then left to continue his pilgrimage.
Antalagun had changed and changed for the good, he became an appreciator of knowledge and a natural born spellcaster for his age.
On a warm afternoon in late spring Antalagun was visited by a fair Paladin servant of Tyr, her name was Malia Gramwall, she carried a letter that contained the warning that the band of Heroes that once aided Antalagun were in great danger in the city of Red Mark.
Without even hesitating, Antalagun got ready, grabbed what he could and took off with Malia on his back.
