Description

Bergutha was an unusually strong and durable ogre, with the intelligence to back up her war tactics. During a great war between ogres and humans, she led ogres into battle, destroying scores of human soldiers.

During an immense battle, the head of the human alliance issued a challenge to Bergutha, claiming she was the mightiest of the ogres. Bergutha accepted, setting her terms of winning. Should the human win, the ogres will retreat. But should she win, her army will fight and destroy everything they can until the humans are nothing. The man, Darix-Amehk, wielder of the Prison of Amehk, accepted the terms of battle. Their fight was one of legend. Bergutha was far more agile than the normal ogre, and didn't flail wildly. Instead, her fighting was calculated, at least compared to an average ogre. Darix-Amehk had a struggle, as he had not fought a foe of this size that was able to withstand his attacks. But he gained the upper-hand. He cleaved off Bergutha's left leg, and as she toppled to the ground, he stood triumphant. Turning away, feeling as though she would now surrender he let his guard down. Bergutha, using her greatclub for balance, stood. Towering over Darix-Amehk, she used her free hand to grab him by the throat from behind. Choking, he dropped his axe. Bergutha dropped him to the ground, grabbed the axe, and viciously beat him with it.

With an onlooking horror, the humans ran, knowing full well the terror that was about to be unleashed upon them. Bergutha claimed the axe as her trophy, and told her army to charge the humans, and destroy them. The lands west of the Colemdran Mountains were bathed in blood, as the ogres carved out a kingdom of their own. Bergutha proclaimed herself Queen over the ogres, and demanded every ogre must work to become a civil and organized people. Great ogre cities. Towering ogre fortresses. Imposing ogre armies. Renowned ogre mages.
