Traits

Innate Spellcasting. The dryad’s innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 14). The dryad can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: druidcraft, poison spray

3/day each: entangle, contagion

1/day each: barkskin, pass without trace, shillelagh, blight

Speak with Beasts and Plants. The dryad can communicate with beasts and plants as if they shared a language.

Blighted Tree Stride. Once on her turn, the dryad can use 10 feet of her movement to step magically into one blighted tree within her reach and emerge from a second blighted tree within 60 feet of the first tree, appearing in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the second tree. Both trees must be Large or bigger.

Blindsight. 30 Feet (Blind beyond this radius)

Actions

Club. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit (+6 to hit with shillelagh), reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2 (1d4) bludgeoning damage, or 8 (1d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage with shillelagh.

Touch. Melee Weapon Attack: +0 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 1 poison damage, and the creature must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or become infected with the disease described in the Death Burst trait.

Reactions

When this creature dies, any other creatures within 10 feet must make a Con Save (DC 16) as the dull purple mushroom caps seated in the blighted druid's eyes explode, spraying a toxic gas. This gas is a deep, dark blue and leaves victims with painful, burning sores. If a creature fails, they take 2d8 damage and are stunned for one round. If a creature passes, they take half damage and negate the stun effect. Creatures end the stun effect upon a passing Con Save

Description

These creatures have been infected by a blight inducing fungus. It seems that the fungus has overtaken the dryad, much like the trees which these infected dryads use as their dwellings. The dryads seem to be being controlled by something, sent to spread the blight.
