Traits

Aggressive. As a bonus action, the dragon can move up to its speed toward a hostile creature that it can see.

Legendary Resistance (2/Day). If the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Innate Spellcasting. The dragon's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 14). The deva can innately cast the following spells, requiring only verbal components:

At will: control flames, gust, thaumaturgy, bane

1/day each: hunter's mark, cause fear, magic weapon

Actions

Multiattack. The dragon may use its Frightful Presence, and then makes three attacks. One with its bite and two with its claws. It can replace any one of those with an additional claw or tail attack.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (2d12 + 7) piercing damage plus 6 (1d12) fire damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d8 + 7) slashing damage.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d10 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the dragon's choice that is within 120 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.

Fire Breath (Recharge 5–6). The dragon exhales a stream of fire in a 90-foot long, 10-foot wide line. Each creature in that area must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 52 (15d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Legendary Actions

The dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Detect. The dragon makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.

Melee Attack. The dragon makes a tail or claw attack.

Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). The dragon beats its wings. Each creature within 10 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw or take 12 (2d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The dragon can then fly up to half its flying speed.

Description

Crimsonbeak dragons are hyper aggressive dragons that live in hills and plateaus, hunting down anything they can get their teeth on. They are slightly less intelligent than the average White Dragon, but young are smart enough to work in small packs to take down prey. Quite fast for their size, these dragons prefer cooked flesh above all else, and will take packages of burnt rations as bribes to move through their territory.  Crimsonbeaks only hoard a small amount of what most would call treasure (gold, coinage, jewelery, etc.), as they prefer to save up room in their lairs for gruesome trophies. These dragons will hoard the scorched bones, weapons, and even skin and organs of their victims, and will sometimes even enslave weak-willed creatures as minions to decorate their lairs.
