Traits

Mental Fortitude. The Bone Plucker has advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened, and magic can’t put the Bone Plucker to sleep.

Standing Leap. The Bone Plucker's long jump is up to 40 feet and its high jump is up to 25 feet, with or without a running start.

Leap Attack. The Bone Plucker makes a long or high jump toward a target and then hits it with a slam attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 13 (3d8) bludgeoning damage.

Creature Sense. The Bone Plucker is aware of the presence of creatures within it's blindsight that have an Intelligence score of 4 or higher. It knows the distance and direction to each creature, as well as each creature’s Intelligence score, but can’t sense anything else about it. A creature protected by a mind blank spell, a nondetection spell, or similar magic can’t be perceived in this manner.

Amphibious. The Bone Plucker can breathe air and water.

Magic Resistance. The Bone Plucker has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Strengthened Resilience. The Bone Plucker's Armor Class also includes it's Strength modifier (Already included).

Actions

Multiattack. The Bone Plucker makes one slam attack and one tentacle attack or two slam attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) bludgeoning damage.

Tentacles. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature of size large or smaller they must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or become restrained by the tentacles. The Bone Plucker can only grab one creature at a time and while the Bone Plucker is restraining a creature it can only use it's tentacles on that restrained creature until it is freed.

Bone Plucking. The Bone Plucker forces a creature it's restraining with it's tentacles to make a DC 17 Strength saving throw. On a failure the target creature loses a random bone in it's body. This will never be an automatically lethal bone such as the skull unless the target is already dead. When a creature has a bone removed they take 27 (5d10) necrotic damage and the Bone Plucker heals half the necrotic damage dealt.
However, if the target of this ability is size small or smaller they are instead swallowed by the Bone Plucker if they fail to save against the Bone Plucking. Becoming Blinded and Restrained and taking 17 (5d6) acid damage at the start of the Bone Plucker's turn.
If the Bone Plucker takes 20 damage or more on a single turn from a creature inside it, the Bone Plucker must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate all swallowed creatures, which fall prone in a space within 10 feet of the Bone Plucker. If the Bone Plucker dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse by using 20 feet of movement, exiting prone.

Description

"Bone Pluckers are a large Aberration that seem to have some kind of link towards Mind Flayers. They seem to appear if a mind flayer tadpole ends up with some kind of mutation and still manages to convert a person, at least that's the theory on how they first appeared anyway. Bone Pluckers reproduce in a parasitic way, capturing a large number of living creatures, or maybe even just one big one, and wretching a sort of bile that contain tadpoles that function almost the exact same as mind flayer tadpoles. The only difference being, well their adult forms being Bone Pluckers instead of Mind Flayers. Also I don't think I need to say this, but I'll say it anyway to put it on record. Bone Pluckers exclusively eat bones, nothing else! They consume the bones of living creature's by using their face tentacles to both hold a creature still and pull them open. After that, well the name says it all. The only time they ever consume something that isn't the bones of another creature is if it get's its tentacles around something that it can just swallow whole."  -quote by Hunt Master Ericson, Platinum Hunter of the Monster Hunter's Guild from Vex the Wondrous' "Legends and Lore, Stories Galore!"
Physiology- Bone Pluckers look like a muscular quadruped Mind Flayer. They're forelimbs are used to climb around the caverns and spires of the Underdark, these forearms have also developed fins and webbed fingers to make them great swimmers. Bone Pluckers also completely lack eyes and will instead rely on a sort of "psychic sonar" (Blindsight) that can give a rough image of the surrounding terrain and give the exact location of an creature with an intelligence of 4 or more.
