Spider Climb. The cave drake can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Surprise Attack. If the cave drake surprises a creature and hits it with an attack during the first round of combat, the target takes an extra 14 (4d6) damage from the attack and must make a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Stone Camouflage. The cave drake has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in rocky terrain.

Multiattack. The cave drake makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) piercing damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) slashing damage.

Caustic Breath (Recharge 5–6). The cave drake exhales caustic mist in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 31 (9d6) acid damage and being blinded on a failed save. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage with no additional effects. A blinded creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
