Traits

Living Shadow. While in dim light or darkness, the vampiric dragon has resistance to damage that isn’t force, psychic, or radiant.

Shadow Stealth. While in dim light or darkness, the vampiric dragon can take the Hide action as a bonus action.

Sunlight Sensitivity. While in sunlight, the vampiric dragon has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.

Shapechanger.(Recharges on a Long Rest) If the vampire isn’t in sunlight or running water, it can use its action to polymorph into a Vampire once per long rest. While in this form, It does not have access to the vampires Shapechanger, Misty Escape, Regeneration, or Vampire Weaknesses traits. it has the same stats as a vampire except for its INT, WIS, and CHA stats, and still gains the effects of its Shadow Stealth, Living Shadow, and Sunlight Sensitivity traits. if taken down to 0 HP, it reverts back to it dragon form.

Actions

Multiattack. The vampiric dragon makes three attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws. if recharged, it can replace one of these attacks with its Miasmic Breath.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d10 + 6) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) necrotic damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) slashing damage.

Miasmic Breath (Recharge 4–6). The vampiric dragonexhales dark red mist in front of it that takes up a 10 ft tall, 20 foot in diameter cylinder. This stays here until it uses its legendary or Absorb Miasma

Charm. The vampiric dragon targets one humanoid it can see within 30 feet of it. If the target can see the vampiric dragon, the target must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw against this magic or be charmed by the vampiric dragon. The charmed target regards the vampiric dragon as a trusted friend to be heeded and protected. Although the target isn’t under the vampire’s control, it takes the vampiric dragon’s requests or actions in the most favorable way it can, and it is a willing target for the vampiric dragon’s bite attack.

Each time the vampiric dragon or the vampiric dragon’s companions do anything harmful to the target, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success. Otherwise, the effect lasts 24 hours or until the vampiric dragon is destroyed, is on a different plane of existence than the target, or takes a bonus action to end the effect.

Legendary Actions

The dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Detect. The dragon makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.

Absorb Miasma. the dragon absorbs all miasma created by its Miasmic Breath or Miasmic Blanket on the field. any creature within this cylinder must succeed on a DC 21 Constitution saving throw or take 33 (6d10) necrotic damage and the vampiric dragon regains HP equal to half of the damage dealt.

Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). The dragon beats its wings. Each creature within 15 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 25 Dexterity saving throw or take 17 (2d6 + 10) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The dragon can then fly up to half its flying speed.

Miasmic Blanket (Costs 3 Actions). the dragon exhales and beats its wings scattering two 10 ft. high by 20 ft. wide cylinders of Miasma within 50 ft of it.
