Piloted. A Gundam can only operate when controlled by a creature. A creature can use their action to climb in the Mobile Suit and take control of the Gundam, becoming the Pilot. The Pilot controls all aspects of the Gundam. The Gundam assumes the Pilot’s Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores as well as Initiative until no longer being piloted.
Armored Cockpit. The cockpit is located in the chest of the Mobile Suit. The Pilot in the cockpit has full cover. If the Gundam reaches 0 hit points it continues to function, and any damage dealt to the Gundam instead is dealt to the Pilot.
Tech (Magic) Resistance. The Gundam has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Siege Vehicle. The Basic Gundam deals double damage to objects and structures, other than Starships.
Weak Against Ships. The Basic Gundam was designed to battle other vehicles of similar size and strength. Its weapons cannot easily penetrate Starship’s armor. The Basic Gundam deals half damage against Starships.
Towering Presence. Enemies that start their turn within 30 feet of the Gundam must succeed on a DC 21 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the start of their next turn. If the enemy’s saving throw is successful it is immune to the Gundam’s Towering Presence for 24 hours.
Multiattack. The Basic Gundam can make four attacks using either the Energy Blade or Proton Rifle, replacing one attack with its Rocket Flail if available.
Energy Blade. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 15 ft., 1 target. Hit: 24 (4d8 + 8) fire damage.
Proton Rifle. RangedWeapon Attack: +14 to hit, range 300/900 ft., 1 target. Hit: 24 (4d8 + 8) lightning damage.
Rocket Flail (Recharges 5-6). Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 60 ft., 1 target. Hit 22 (4d6 + 8) bludgeoning damage. The target must succeed on a DC 21 Strength saving throw or be knocked back 10 feet and fall prone.
Sortie. After a Pilot enters the Gundam, they can select a target. For the next minute the Gundam has advantage on attack rolls against that target until you score a hit on that target.
Guard. The Basic Gundam adds 5 to its AC against one melee or ranged attack that would hit it. To do so the Basic Gundam must see the attacker and have a shield equipped.
