Audrey III

While the Audrey III is motionless and/or stalking it looks like an over-large rose, a bush about 10' tall with thorny vines extending from a handful of central stalks.  It gives off an enticingly pleasant aroma.

Vine - Each Audrey III has 4-6 vines, each twenty feet long (giving it a 20 foot attack range in any direction).  These vines can be used to either strike or constrict opponents.  Strikes are made at +7 to hit and do 2d6+6 damage.  Constriction attacks are made at +5 and do 2d4+4 damage.  They are covered with many large thorns that drip with a poisonous sap.  Upon taking a hit, the target of the strike or constriction must make a DC16 saving throw or be paralyzed until the end of the Audrey III's next turn.

Engulf - If the Audrey III has at least two vines grappling a target of medium or smaller size it will perform an engulf attack.  The engulf bite does 3d12 damage plus the poisonous sap - again a DC16 saving throw, but the victim will be paralyzed for 1-3 rounds, taking 3d12 damage per round and will be considered grappled as it is swallowed into the root section.

Their ability to speak common gives them the ability to provide a vicious mockery to those that attack the plant once per round.  Typically this will be a person that either misses an attack badly, or manages to hit and only do a relatively small amount of damage.  The target of the mockery must make a DC16 Wisdom save or take 1d6 psychic damage and suffer disadvantage on their attack against the Audrey III for one round.
