False Appearance. While the sword remains motionless and isn't flying, it is indistinguishable from a normal sword and sheild.
Stance Change. Aegislash has two forms. When Aegislash uses King's Shield, it changes to Shield Forme, swapping its AC and DEX stats. When it uses a damaging move, Aegislash immediately returns to Blade Forme, returning its stats to normal.
Multiattack. Aegislash can take the slash action twice.
Slash. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (4d8 + 6) slashing damage.
King's Shield. Aegislash negates all incoming damage directed to it and any creature that is at least 5ft including damage that comes from having to make a saving throw until the start of Aegislash's next turn. If used again after it has been used on the last turn, roll a 15 or more on a d20 to use it again successfully. If it fails Aegislash forfeits their action on that turn.
Swords Dance. Aegislash dances buffing any allies within 5ft of it. The buffed creatures gain +2 AC and advantage on their rolls to hit for 1 minute. Aegislash can use this feature twice per short rest.
Description
Aegislash is a creature whose body resembles a golden sword. The edge of the steel blade is white and somewhat serrated near the tip. Where the blade meets the hilt is a single, purple eye with a white slit pupil surrounded by black space. The handle forms a thick, striated spike. Two cloth-like arms emerge from the sides of the hilt. Each arm is primarily black and transitions to a pale purple with a slight swirl pattern at the tip. The sash-like arms split into four tassels at the tips. It always carries an ornate shield in at least one of its arms. The shield is gold and has three brown rings surrounded by black in the middle. It also has a brown rim with three lines radiating toward the center.
