Constructed Nature. The autognome doesn’t require air, food, drink, or sleep.
Death Burst. When the autognome dies, it explodes, and each creature within 10 feet of it must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 14 (4d6) bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
X-Ray Vision. The autognome can see through solid matter out to a range of 60 feet. To it, opaque creatures, objects, and obstacles within that distance appear transparent and don't prevent light from passing through them. This vision can penetrate 5 feet of stone, 3 inches of common metal, and up to 10 feet of wood or dirt. Thicker substances block this vision, as does a thin sheet of lead.
Multiattack. The autognome makes two melee attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage.
Steam Blast (Recharge 6). The autognome releases a blast of scalding steam. It chooses whether to affect a 5-foot radius around itself or a line 5 feet wide that extends to a target within 20 feet of it. Creatures in the affected area must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed saved throw, a creature takes 14 (4d6) fire damage and is pushed 5 feet away from it. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't pushed.
Smoke Cloud (1/Day). The autognome releases a cloud of thick smoke in a 20-foot sphere centered on its space. The sphere is heavily obscured. Wind disperses the cloud, which otherwise lasts for 1 minute.
