Traits

Straitjacket. The Asylum Patient has their hands strapped to their sides via a reinforced straitjacket. The straps of the straitjacket have 4d4 health and take half the amount of damage the Asylum Patient does if they are hit. When the straps of the straitjackets reach 0 health, they snap and the Patient's hands are freed. When this occurs, roll a d20 to determine the reaction the Patient has:

1-5: The Patient's laughter intensifies and they immediately target whoever freed them, not stopping until either they or their target are dead.

6-14: The Patient begins to cry and retreats to the nearest corner of the room they are currently in, refusing to move unless provoked.

15-20: The Patient experiences a moment of clarity and is grateful for being let loose, viewing whoever freed them as an ally.

Complete Lack of Self-Preservation. The Asylum Patient has advantage on saving throws against being intimidated or Frightened.

Actions

Punch. Melee Attack: +3 to hit, range 5 ft., 2d4 bludgeoning damage. Can only be used if the Asylum Patient has their hands free .

Dropkick. The Asylum Patient targets a creature within 20 feet of it and moves as close as it can to that creature. Upon reaching a range of 5 feet, the Asylum Patient must make a Dexterity (Acrobatics, DC 14) check to perform a dropkick. If successful, the target takes 4d6 bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone.

Reckless Tackle. The Asylum Patient targets a creature within 20 feet of it and moves as close as it can to that creature. Upon reaching a range of 5 feet, the Asylum Patient must make a Dexterity (Acrobatics, DC 14) check to dive tackle the target creature. If successful, the target creature takes 5d4 bludgeoning damage and is Grappled by the Asylum Patient. Can only be used if the Patient has their hands free.

Beatdown. The Asylum Patient makes 4 consecutive punch attacks. The Patient may only use this attack on a creature they are currently Grappling.

Description

Once a top-of-the-line scientist or test subject, now lobotomized and strapped to a cot for seeing things no mortal was meant to lay eyes on. The asylum echoes with quiet sobs, jovial laughter, and sardonic cackles as the patients within babble and froth over the forbidden knowledge they have gained. Freeing them carries a great risk, but if successful one would gain an ally with nothing but their bare, bloody fists, a complete lack of self-preservation, and a bubbling hatred for their captors.
