Traits

Flyby. The ajeq doesn't provoke opportunity attacks when it flies out of an enemy's reach.

  • Keen Hearing and Sight. The ajeq has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or sight.

Dodge. The ajeq can make a Dexterity saving throw against any attack that does not require a Dexterity saving throw to avoid it. The DC is always 15. If it succeeds, it moves 15 feet away from where it was before. If it fails, the attack works normally and the yekro takes the appropriate damage.

Actions

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +0 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 slashing damage.

Description

The ajeq is a creature created through magical experiments. It is just like a cat, except it has an owl's face. They communicate and voice their emotions using bird noises. Chirping is a common greeting of the ajeq. Trilling is a form of communication. Hooting means sadness. Cawing like a parrot means it's trying to be threatening. Or it's just mad. Honking is the same as trilling, but with a more aggressive tone. Clucking is a more friendly tone of trilling, and quacking means the same thing as the common word "goodbye."
