Traits

Keen Hearing and Smell. The bacuette has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.

Pounce: If the bacuette moves at least 20 ft. straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 8 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Hidden in plain sight: The bacuette can fold into itself and cast the disguise self spell, though it can only disguise itself as a plain loaf of bread.

Limbido's curse: Being made entirely out of bread the bacuette is easily harmed by water and other liquids that make it soggy. Whenever a fluid of sorts hits the bacuette it must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save it takes 1d4 damage for each liter of liquid splashed onto it and its walking speed is halved.

Actions

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) slashing damage.

Teleport (Recharge 4–6). The bacuette magically teleports, along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying, up to 40 feet to an unoccupied space it can see. Before or after teleporting, the bacuette can make one claw attack.

Description

Cousin to the fabled blink dogs, these feline predators are a notably less famous breed, and originally were only known as blink cats. One day they messed with Limbido, the Archfey in charge of catering to the fey courts, in return he turned them into loaves of bread, only to be astonished when they adapted to this change, turning into bacuettes.
