Description
A Behir Bolter is an adolescent Behir, approximately between the ages of 5 and 15. Esteemed for their lightning-fast reflexes and speed, these young behirs move swiftly and silently through the twisting tunnels of their lair or along high caves in the cliffs they call home.
Variant: Behir Stormsteeds.
A stormsteed is a behir that has specifically been groomed from birth as a mount. They are capable of channeling their lightning breath into a constant stream of arcing electricity at their feet, which they cling to and climb along.
A stormsteed has the same statistics as a Behir bolter, Behir, or Elder Behir, except a Behir Bolter stormsteed's CR increases to 7(2,900 XP), and they all gain the following traits:
Voltaic Link. While a friendly creature is mounted on the Behir, the Behir can understand the rider's languages, the rider gains resistance to lightning damage, and the rider can make any spell it casts that targets only itself also target the Behir.
Ride the Lightning. While a Behir's lightning breath is charged, it has an effective flying speed equal to its climbing speed and can hover.
