Demand Payment. The lich chooses a target within 60 feet that it believes owes a debt to it. The target must make a DC 22 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the target is bound by a geas spell to repay the debt within 30 minutes. If the debt is not repaid within that time, the target takes 2d4 psychic damage and is considered to have failed the saving throw. The geas ends when the debt is repaid. This action can only be used once per round.
Collect Collateral. The lich uses its action to collect collateral from a creature that owes a debt to it. The creature must make a DC 22 Charisma saving throw. On a failure, the lich takes an item of equal value to the debt as collateral. The item can only be returned if the debt is repaid within 5 turns. This action can only be used once per round.
Raise Lesser Debt Collectors. The lich uses its action to raise a group of dead collectors. A group of 1d4 lesser debt collectors arrive within 1d4 rounds to aid the debt collector in its task. These lesser debt collectors have the same attack as the main debt collector, but with reduced hit points and damage. This action can only be used once per day.
Unusual Nature. The lich doesn’t need air, food, drink, or sleep.
Multiattack. The lich can make two actions.
Debt Collection. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 25 (6d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage. If the target owes a debt to the debt collector's master, the debt collector can choose to demand payment instead of dealing damage. The target must make a DC 22 Charisma saving throw. On a failure, the target is bound by a geas spell to repay the debt within 30 minutes. If the debt is not repaid within that time, the target takes(1d6 + 2) psychic damage and is considered to have failed the saving throw. The geas ends when the debt is repaid.
Interrogation. The lich can use its action to interrogate a creature that it believes owes a debt to it. The creature must make a DC 22 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the creature is compelled to answer truthfully any questions the lich asks regarding the debt, including the amount owed, the nature of the debt, and any collateral that was put up for the debt.
Curse of Debt. The debt collector curses a target within 60 feet, causing them to owe a debt to the lich. The target must make a DC 22 Charisma saving throw. On a failure, the target is bound by a geas spell to repay the debt within 3 hours.
Spellcasting. The lich casts one of the following spells, using Intelligence as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 17):
At will: detect magic, mage hand, prestidigitation
2/day each: feeblemind, animate dead, geas
1/day each: finger of death, magic jar, wall of force
Debt Collection Defense. The lich can use its reaction when it is attacked by a creature that owes a debt to the lich. The lich can call upon the power of the geas spell to force the attacker to repay the debt instead of attacking. The attacker must make a DC 22 Charisma saving throw. On a failure, the attacker is bound by a geas spell to repay the debt within 30 days. If the debt is not repaid within that time, the attacker takes 1d6psychic damage and is considered to have failed the saving throw. The geas ends when the debt is repaid.
If the attacker succeeds on the saving throw, the debt collector can choose to make a melee attack against the attacker instead of the attacker's intended target. This attack has advantage and deals an additional 1d4 damage if the attacker owes a debt to the debt collector's master.
Mark Debt. The lich points at a creature it can see within 60 feet that owes a debt. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 18) or have their debt marked by the lich. The lich gains advantage on all attacks against that target and the target has disadvantage on all attacks against the lich until the end of the lich's next turn.
Debt Enforcer. The Lich Debt Collector targets a debtor within 60 feet and uses its action to enforce the terms of their debt. The debtor must make a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for one round. If the debtor fails the saving throw, it must immediately pay a portion of its debt, as determined by the Lich. If the debtor cannot pay, it is cursed by the Lich and takes 2d10 psychic damage each round until the debt is paid in full.
Debtilitate. The lich targets a creature within 60 feet and places a curse of debt upon it. The target must succeed on a DC 20 Charisma saving throw or be cursed with an unpayable debt. The curse imposes a -2 penalty to all ability checks, attack rolls, and saving throws. The curse can only be lifted by the lich or a powerful cleric or wizard who can remove curses.
