Description
During a time of great depression, a god attempted to create new life. This new life would be like nothing the world has ever seen. This like would not be born from a mother, or grow from a seed planted in the ground, nor would in hatch from an egg. The life that this great deity wanted to create came from nothing.
The god created sentience, alone and without a body, and threw it into nothing. This sentience had thought and aspirations and goals, but without a body to hinder it; without a body to experience the world. This new life was not given a reason to live, nor did it have a body to find one.
Eventually, it grew angry. This life grew angry at the god that created it from nothing; no mother, no father, no flesh, no bones, no wood, no leaves. It was nothing, and it was painfully aware of this fact. It was nothing, and it wanted to something.
It had no restraints that kept it back. It used what knowledge the people knew of the gods, and molded itself accordingly. It now roams "godless" lands, tricking those who seek faith that it is the one and only true god. Once the people put their faith into the usurper, it would destroy them, and and hope that they put into the creators. For what is a god without his people?
