Traits

Lesser Psionic Barrier- Any attack or damage made against this creature that would result in the creature taking 5 damage or less is reduced to 0 damage.

Charge Barrier- The sloth can use an action to enhance the effects of "Lesser Psionic Barrier", increasing the damage reduction threshold by 1d4+1

Actions

Scratch- Melee Attack: +1to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit:  (1d1) [Slashing] damage.

Lesser Mind Sense- The sloth can use an action to send out psionic waves in a 20ft. radius centered on itself, and determine if and where any creature that is capable of thought is. This ability is not hindered by cover or invisibility.

Reactions

Lesser Psionic Armor Projection- Whenever a friendly creature within 50ft is the target of an attack, the Sloth may extend the reach of its psychic protections, granting the attack target +1 AC for the attack, potentially causing the attack to miss. The sloth has 3 charges of this ability, and it regains 1d4 -1 charges upon a short rest, or all charges upon a long rest.

Description

Barrier Sloths are also known in the Fey Wild as "Watch Minds" for their tendency to merely observe things around them and learn quickly. They can be found from high tree branches, and will stake out one tree for a few days at times. They are primarily omnivores; eating most types of tree foliage and the occasional insect, nut, or berry. These creatures are incredibly intelligent, generally docile, reclusive, and deploy all kinds of mental tricks in order to survive. Most creatures and even plants in the Fey Wild do not even attempt to make a Barrier Sloth or their pups into prey; not because of their threat level, but because it is simply not worth the effort. Very seldom do pups separate from their protective progenitors; only when reaching maturity.
