Spellcasting. The acolyte is a 1st-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 12, +4 to hit with spell attacks). The acolyte has following Plague spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): Infestation, Poison Spray
1st level (3 slots): Sanctuary, Ray of Sickness
Disgustingly Resilient. Every time the creature takes bludgeoning, slashing, or piercing damage role a d8. On a seven the damage is halved on an eight the damage is not taken.
Rot Plague. Every time the Acolyte of Contagion deals damage or takes melee damage the creature dealing or taking damage must make a DC 5 constitution check. On a failed save that creature contracts the Rot Plague. This is also activated by spells that deal damage to creatures.
Plague Cult. They are a lesser member of the Plague Cult and can be directed and guided by higher ranking members.
Pestilent Club. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2 (1d4) bludgeoning damage.
Description
The Acolyte of Contagion is a vile monstrosity of flesh, rot, and pestilence. Similar to normal people but in their case weeping lesions and oozing wounds cover their bodies. They are afflicted with the Rot Plague which turns them into a writhing, seething mass of infection and insanity. They serve as the lowest level of priest with in the Plague Cult and often accompany greater creatures of plague.
