Traits:
- Cry of the Mother: Once per day, the Wendigo Mother can emit a blood-curdling scream that forces all creatures within a 60-foot radius to make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, creatures are frightened and take 6d6 psychic damage. On a successful save, creatures take half as much damage and are not frightened.
- Children of the Wendigo: When the Wendigo Mother kills a creature, it can use a bonus action to attempt to create a Wendigo spawn. The target must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be transformed into a Wendigo spawn under the Wendigo Mother's control.
- Wendigo Spawn: The Wendigo Mother's spawn have the same abilities as the Wendigo Mother, but their hit points are reduced to 50. The spawn are immune to the Wendigo Mother's Cry of the Mother ability.
- Wendigo Hunger: The Wendigo Mother has an insatiable hunger for flesh, and must consume a creature at least once per day or suffer one level of exhaustion. If the Wendigo Mother consumes the flesh of a humanoid, the humanoid has a chance to be transformed into a Wendigo spawn (see Children of the Wendigo).
Actions:
- Multi-attack: The Wendigo Mother can make two attacks with her claws.
- Claw: Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 5) slashing damage.
- Wendigo Spawn Bite: Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage plus 6 (1d12) cold damage.
The Wendigo Mother can take 3 legendary actions per round, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Wendigo Mother regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
- Move: The Wendigo Mother can move up to its speed without provoking opportunity attacks. 2 Action
- Claw Attack: The Wendigo Mother can make a claw attack. 1 action
