Traits

Legendary Resistance (8/Day). If any member of the Illidary Council fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead (theoretically 2 per member).

Ready to Fight. Illidary Council has advantage on initiative rolls, all the four elves act in the same turn.

Balance of Power. The four elves shares their health with each other.

Telepathic Bond. The four elves shares their thoughts with a special telepathic bond.

Multiattack. Illidary Council makes six attacks by the lists below, at least one per member of the Council.


 Gathios the Shatterer

  • Seal of Command. Gathios the Shatterer buffs himself adding 6 (1d12) radiant damage to any radiant damage that his other ability does for 2 turns. Only one seal can be active at a time.
  • Seal of Blood. Gathios the Shatterer buffs himself and his weapon adding 6 (1d12) slashing damage to any melee damage that his other ability does for 2 turns. Only one seal can be active at a time.
  • Judgement. Spell attack: single target. Gathios the Shatterer can judge his active seal on a target. The effect depends on the seal. For Seal of Command it will deal 53 (8d12+5) radiant damage. For Seal of Blood it will deal 12 (2d12) radiant damage to the target for 3 turns. The target must do a DC 20 Constitution saving throw suffering the effects of the Judgement on a failed save, evading it on a successful one. If the Judgement consumes the Seal before the third turn, any seal cannot be casted again until that third turn passes.
  • Consecration. Attack Spell: self, 20ft area, multiple target. Gathios the Shatterer consecrates the land under him, burning all targets in the area that starts the turn inside it or enters the area dealing 29 (4d12+5) radiant damage. The Consecration lasts 4 turns.
  • Hammer of Justice. Melee weapon attack: Gathios the Shatterer targets a creature, the target must make a DC 16 Strenght saving throw being hitted for 29 (4d12+5) slashing damage and getting stunned for one turn on a falied save or evading the attack on a successful one.

 Veras Darkshadow

  • Envenom. Melee weapon attack: +11 to hit, single target. Hit: Veras Darkshadow comes out of the shadows and Envenoms an enemy dealing 41 (6d12+5) acid damage. Only executable while under the effect of Vanish.
  • Deadly Poison. Melee weapon attack: Veras Darkshadow hits a target with his venomous daggers. The target must do a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw being poisoned for 20 (10d4) poison damage on a failed save throw or evading the poison on a successful one. Deadly posion lasts 4 turns.

 High Nethermancer Zerevor

  • Arcane Bolt. Attack Spell: +11 to hit, 60ft range, one creature. Hit: High Nethermancer Zerevor hurls a magical bolt to the target dealing 29 (4d12+5) psychic damage.
  • Flamestrike. Attack Spell: 30ft range, 20ft circular area, multiple target. High Nethermancer Zerevor calls down a pillar of flame, burning all targets in the area. Any creature that starts the turn inside the flames or enters them must do a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw taking 23 (3d12+5) fire damage. The flamestrike lasts 2 turns.
  • Blizzard. Attack Spell: 30ft range, 20ft area, multiple target. High Nethermancer Zerevor calls down a storm of stalacites, freezing all targets in the area. Any creature that starts the turn inside the ice storm or enters in it must do a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw taking 23 (3d12+5) cold damage. The blizzard lasts 2 turns.
  • Arcane Explosion. Attack Spell: from self, 10ft area, multiple target. Hit: High Nethermancer Zerevor emits a blast wave of magic, any target in the area must do a DC 18 Constitution saving throw taking 41 (6d12+5) psychic damage on a failed save, half of that damage on a successful one. Any target hitted will be knocked back by 20ft.

 Lady Malande

  • Circle of Healing. Healing Spell: Lady Malande heals any Council member for 25 (5d8+5) in a range of 60ft from her. Can be countered as a spell of 5th level.
  • Empowered Smite. Attack Spell: +11 to hit, 60ft range, one creature. Hit: Lady Malande smites a target dealing 35 (5d12+5) radiant damage. Cannot be countered, reflected or misdirected.
  • Divine Wrath. Attack Spell: +11 to hit, 30ft range, one creature. Hit: Lady Malande consumes the target in flames inflicting 13 (2d8+5) fire damage at the beginning of target's turn for 2 turns.
Bonus Actions

Cunning Action. Veras Darkshadow can use the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action.

Vanish. Veras Darkshadow becomes invisible to anyone, lurking in the shadow (do a stealth check). Vanish lasts 3 turns or ends doing any action other than movement. Movement speed is halved. Can be used also as Reaction.

Charge. Gathios the Shatterer can use the Dash action as bonus action if he doesn't have any enemy in melee range.

Reactions

Multireaction. Every member of the Illidary Council can use one of their unic reaction per member after that the Illidary Council turn passes.


 Gathios the Shatterer

  • Chromatic Resistance Aura. Gathios the Shatterer emits an aura of 80ft circular area to all member of the Council in the area, giving resistance to all elements for 3 turns. Only one Aura can be active at a time and cannot be changed until the aura ends.
  • Devotion Aura. Gathios the Shatterer emits an aura of 80ft circular area to all member of the Council in the area, giving +4CA for 2 turns. Only one Aura can be active at a time and cannot be changed until the aura ends.

 Veras Darkshadow

  • Vanish. Veras Darkshadow becomes invisible to anyone, lurking in the shadow (do a stealth check). Vanish lasts 3 turns or ends doing any action other than movement. Movement speed is halved. Can be used also as Bonus Action.
  • Parry. Veras Darkshadow adds 3 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit him. To do so, Veras Darkshadow must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.

 High Nethermancer Zerevor

  • Dampen Magic. Buff Spell: 60ft range. High Nethermancer Zerevor buffs a member of the Council decreasing any damage from spells against the buffed target up to 75% and decreasing healing received by the buffed target up to 50%. Can be countered as a spell of 1st level. Dampen magic lasts 3 turn and cannot be casted again for the same amount of turns.

 Lady Malande

  • Reflective Shield. Wraps herself with a shield that lasts up to 2 turns, absorbing a maximum of 20 HP and reflecting half of any absorbed damage back onto the attacker as Radiant damage. If the shield is at maximum and the attack overcomes the shield with a single hit, no damage will be done to Lady Malande and a maximum of 20 damage will be redirect to the attacker.

  • Blessing of Protection. Gathios the Shatterer puts a blessing on a member of the Council, this member is protected to all phisical damage for 3 turns. Only one blessing can be active at a time.
  • Blessing of Spell Warding. Gathios the Shatterer puts a blessing on a member of the Council, this member is protected to all magical attack or effects for 3 turns. Only one blessing can be active at a time.
  • Attack. Melee weapon attack +11 to hit, single target. Hit: Gathios the Shatterer uses his sword with two hands to an enemy dealing 35 (6d10+5) slashing damage.

  Veras Darkshadow

  • Attack. Melee weapon attack +11 to hit, single target. Hit: Veras Darkshadow uses his two daggers to an enemy dealing 35 (15d4+5) slashing damage.

  High Nethermancer Zerevor

  • Attack. Melee weapon attack +11 to hit, single target. Hit: High Nethermancer Zerevor uses his staff with two hands to a target dealing 21 (4d8+5) bludgeoning damage.
  • Ranged Attack. Ranged weapon attack +11 to hit, single target. Hit: High Nethermancer Zerevor channels the power into his staff creating an arcane dart that hurls to an enemy dealing 29 (6d8+5) psychic damage.

Description

Illidary Council are a set of 4 high elf, they are the elite guards of Kael'thas, given to his friend Illidan Stormrage to protect the Black Temple. Even if they have specific actions and specific masters: Gathios the Shatterer in matters of war and logistics, Veras Darkshadow in the realms of espionage and shadowing, Lady Malande's talent for upholding relations with Illidan's other servitors, and High Nethermancer Zerevor's arcane mastery; they act as a single united group and the HP pull is shared. Each of them also have a particulary advanced sense and they can communicate with telepathy between them all to better coordinate the war strategy, also all their attacks are considered done by magical weapons. The Illidary council is the eighth boss of the Black Temple and they block the entrance to the top where Illidan awaits.

Regional Effects

The region containing a legendary Illidan Stormrage’s lair (Black Temple) is wicked by his evil power, which creates the following effects:

  • There is an everlasting night
  • Some violet thunder will be created out of nowhere hitting items for 4 (1d8) lightning damage. The items cannot be destroyed by the thunder. Can hit also creature that stands near or on top of the items, but not the various demons in the region. Only works outdoor.

If Illidan Stormrage dies, these effects fade over the course of 2 years.
