Shatter. If the acopus dies, it shatters, revealing a black pudding inside.
Swoop. If the acopus flies at least 30 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the acopus can make one bite or claw attack against it as a bonus action.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage + 9 (2d4 + 4) poison damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 19 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute if the saving throw succeeds. If the saving throw fails, the target is poisoned for 23 minutes and unconscious while poisoned in this way.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (2d4 + 3) slashing damage + 4 (1d6 + 1) poison damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 19 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute if the saving throw succeeds. If the saving throw fails, the target is poisoned for 23 minutes and unconscious while poisoned in this way.
Poison Cloud (1/Day). A 15-foot radius of green gas extends out from the acopus. The gas spreads around corners, and its area is heavily obscured. It lasts for 3 minutes or until a strong wind disperses it. Any creature that starts its turn in that area must succeed on a DC 11 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned until the start of its next turn. While poisoned in this way, the target can take either an action or a bonus action on its turn, not both, and can't take reactions.
Description
The acopus, known to some as the nightshade bird, is made from nightshade berries, the skull of a dead cat(the cat must be already dead, and the skull enlarges while the acopus is being created), a handful of feathers, and the components used to create a homunculus(other than blood). Still, you must have twice as much as you would use to create a homunculus. You must also do a magic ritual. The acopus can serve as a mount, although is possesses the same intelligence as any animal, and you must forge a relationship based on mutual respect as you would a horse.
