Berries. Each vine that the acaneen has 4d6 + 3 berrries. If a berry is eaten, the creature that ate the berry must make the saving throw described in the hypnotizing smell action. On a failure, the creature is subjected to the effect also described in the hypnotizing smell action.
Grasping Branches. The acaneen has 2d4 + 2 branches at a time. Each branch can be attacked (AC 20; 15 hit points; immunity to poison and psychic damage, and resistance to piercing and bludgeoning damage). Destroying a branch deals no damage to the acaneen, which can extrude a replacement branch on its next turn. A branch can also be broken if a creature takes an action and succeeds on a DC 16 Strength check against it.
False Appearance. If the acaneen is motionless at the start of combat, it looks like a normal bush and has advantage on its initiative roll. Moreover, if a creature hasn’t observed the acaneen plant move or act, that creature must succeed on a DC 18 Intelligence (Investigation) check to discern that the acaneen plant is animate.
Multiattack. The acaneen makes four vine attacks.
Branch. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 60 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (3d8 + 2) bludgeoning damage plus 4 (1d4 + 2) slashing damage, and if the target is large or smaller, it is grappled (escape DC 16). The acaneen has 2d4 + 2 branches, each of which can grapple one target.
Hypnotizing Smell (3/Day). The acaneen releases a sweet smell from itself in a 120 foot radius around each berry that it has. Every creature in that area that can smell the scent must make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the creature's eyes turn blue, and they act as an ally of the acaneen plant, and must follow its telepathic orders. Every day, an affected creature can reroll the saving throw if it is more than 1 mile away from the acaneen plant. Constructs and Undead are immune to this effect, along with othe acaneen bushes.
Description
The Acaneen bush is a magical bush with dark blue berries. Each berry is magical, and when you eat them, you go under the Acaneen bush's control. This plant can also let off a hypnotizing smell. Hypnotized creatures usually tend to the plant, spread its seeds, and protect it from harm. These creatures are called blue eyes, since they have blue eyes when hypnotized. The Acaneen bush can walk with its roots, although it tends to stay put. In combat, they typically try to hypnotize as many creatures as they can before attacking. If forced into attacking, it usually calls on a few hypnotized creatures, and then lashes out at creatures with its branches, holding them in place so its hypnotized allies can then attack easier.
