Keen Hearing and Sight. The Aralez has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or sight.
Pounce. If the Aralez moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the Aralez can make one claw attack against it as a bonus action.
Innate Spellcasting. Aralez's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 15). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring only verbal components:
At Will: Thunderwave, Word of Radiance, Spare the Dying
3/day each: Healing Spirit, Detect Evil and Good, Protection from Evil and Good, Shatter
1/day each: Raise Dead
Multiattack. The Aralez makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d8 + 3) piercing damage.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d6 + 3) slashing damage.
Healing Saliva (3/Day). If Aralez licks another creature. The target magically regains 12 (2d8 + 4) hit points and is freed from any curse, disease, poison, blindness, or deafness.
Description
Aralez, also called arlez or yaralez, are winged, dog-like celestial creatures in Armenian mythology that descend to lick the wounds of dead heroes in order to resurrect them.
These celestials are very rare, even more rare than Couatls or Devas. No one really knows how they came to be or by which deity's will, but there are some legends about how they were created.
The first is about Aralez being canine creatures that were so loyal and good to their owners and everyone around them that they received a special place in the Divine Realms, becoming celestials that were allowed to heal and resurrect people who died unfairly or too early. Some even manage to stay on the material plane with someone with whom they have made an everlasting bond.
The other is about them being disguised angles of Perun that took the form of a loyal animal that will always be by the side of a dying warrior during battle. While these creatures are mostly healers, that doesn't mean they can't be protectors as well, using their claws and canines to attack as well as their thunderous barks.
