Description
Astrid is the most known blade-for-hire across all of Rhymorra. Although her true allegiance lies with the Pirates of Krakenfall, she is rarely seen with them. She spends her days as an assassin, asking only one question when approached; "Who's my target?" This one-question answering strategy allows her to slither out of social interaction with other races. Depending on her target, she will charge a different amount based on their social stature. However, she knows her limits and won't hunt the leader of one of the empires of Rhymorra or their inner circle, not after the incident with Avalanche & Eruption. Astrid will tell of her time spent in the Molten Caves, and she describes it as the most painful experience she's ever experienced. She says that she was hired to travel to the Ashlands by an unknown source, her only clue from that source was that it was a hooded Rezakirian. She was told that the rulers of the Ashlands, Avalanche & Eruption, needed to be killed. She traveled to the Ashlands, slinking in and out of the shadows and waiting for an opportunity to sink her blade into the necks of Avalanche & Eruption. However, she was not aware that they traveled with Glass Elementals, and she failed to spot it. Avalanche & Eruption were going to give her a public execution, something Sala and her inner circle of servitors attend. Astrid was actually spared by Sala and taken to the Molten Caves, serving as a gladiator in the infernal arena. However, Astrid was treated like a prisoner of war, even acting as a plaything for Araknia. Eventually, she was released by Sala with one life lesson; "Know your limits" was all that Sala said to her, and Astrid treasures these words.
