Description
Ambush Vipers are very similar to River Boas, only they have a more draconic look, as their fangs are on the exterior of their mouths and have a spikey cobra-like hood. Ambush Vipers have limited control over the earth element, capable of gliding through the earth like an Earth Elemental. They stand similarly in the food pyramid of Rhymorra as the River Boa, primarily feeding off of smaller organisms only instead of dragging its prey down and suffocating it underwater, the Ambush Viper will strike it repeatedly with its venomous bite, waiting for the effects of the venom to take hold, and then wrapping itself around its quarry and dragging it up into the trees, away from most predators of the jungles. Ambush Vipers and River Boas are abundant in the Misty Woods, as they are drawn to the serpentine nature of Khaia. The behavior of these snake specimens compared to the ones found elsewhere is strange: The snakes in the Misty Woods choose to incapacitate their prey before delivering it to Khaia, as opposed to the other specimens who devour their prey on sight.
