Lair and Lair Actions

Deep and dark underground

Thousands of eggs everywhere, floor lined with the dead bodies of young men.

Squelching sounds can be heard from everywhere as the queen is laying her eggs. Human moaning and sobbing can be heard from young men who are still unfortunate enough to be alive.

If the players manage to spot the Queen bug in her lair they will see her busy mating with a human male in between laying her eggs. After she is done she will kill and eat him.

She mates with human males in order to try and give her spawn more human like features and to make them smarter to adapt and evolve.

Lair Actions

On initiative count # (losing initiative ties), the Blaught Queen takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; the Blaught Queen can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:

  • Releases a poison spray with a range of 60ft. Players must make a DC17 Con save. On a failed save they take 4d6+2 poison damage and on a successful save half damage.
