Traits

Shapechanger. The alpha can use its action to polymorph into a tiger-humanoid hybrid or into a dire tiger, or back into its true form, which is humanoid. Its statistics, other than its size, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.

Keen Hearing and Smell. The alpha has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.

Pounce (Tiger or Hybrid Form Only). If the alpha moves at least 15 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 19 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the alpha can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action.

Pack Leader. The alpha's allies have advantage on melee attack rolls against any hostile creature within 5 feet of the alpha and the alpha isn't incapacitated.

Alpha's Presence (Hybrid Form Only). Any lycanthrope that starts its turn within 30 feet of the alpha's Hybrid form must succeed on a DC19 Wisdom saving throw or be forced to use their reaction to transform into their own Hybrid form.

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the alpha fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Actions

Multiattack (Humanoid or Hybrid Form Only). In humanoid form, the alpha makes three scimitar attacks or three longbow attacks. In hybrid form, it can attack like a humanoid or make three claw attacks.

Bite (Tiger or Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d10 + 6) piercing damage. If the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with weretiger lycanthropy.

Claw (Tiger or Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (2d12 + 6) slashing damage.

Scimitar (Humanoid or Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d6 + 6) slashing damage.

Longbow (Humanoid or Hybrid Form Only). Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage.

Legendary Actions

The alpha can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The alpha regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Feline Agility. The alpha moves up to its speed without provoking opportunity attacks.

Grab. The alpha makes a claw attack, on a hit, it can choose to grapple the target instead of doing damage.

Rake (Costs 2 Actions). The alpha makes two claw attacks against a creature it has grappled.

Description

Weretigers are ferocious hunters and warriors with a haughty and fastidious nature. Lithe and sleekly muscular in humanoid form, they are taller than average and meticulously groomed. They don't like to pass on their curse, because every new weretiger means competition for territory and prey. They live in jungles on the fringes of humanoid civilization, traveling to isolated settlements to trade or revel. They live and hunt alone or in small family groups.

Alpha weretigers isolate themselves from civilization more so than regular weretigers, spending others in their stead for supplies or trade. They prefer to stay in the company of other weretigers and bit cats, such as tigers. Alpha weretigers seem to have a strong connection to the Cat Lord.
